The film will speak to disability families and advocates, policymakers and business leaders, and the broader community, with the goal of communicating the need for individualized and realistic long-term care and supported living solutions for those with support needs. The film will explore several key themes:

Understanding the Unique Needs of Disabled Individuals & Their Families

What are the issues and concerns facing disabled individuals and family cargegivers? What does it mean to consider an individual’s support needs?

The Landscape of Adult Support Services: Past, Present & Future

What housing options and programs are available for adults who need support? How did we get here? What are the considerations, gaps and challenges?

The Need for Creative Support Solutions

What solutions are being proposed? What’s working in other countries? What’s at stake if we don’t find solutions?

Graham Kay

Graham Kay is an award-winning, comedian, actor and writer. He has appeared on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon, The Late Show with Stephen Colbert, and Super Troopers 2. His three comedy albums can be heard regularly on SiriusXM Radio. He is co-host of the Autastic podcast.

Kirk Smith

Kirk Smith is a NYC-based comedian, actor and writer. He has performed in over 100 venues on five continents, had successful runs at several international comedy festivals, and performed with some of the biggest names in comedy, including Bill Burr, Chris Rock, and Brian Regan. He is the author of the bestseller “Rice Krispies with Ketchup” and co-host of the Autastic podcast.

Jess Ronne

Jess is an author, speaker and mother of eight, including Lucas, her adult son with profound disabilities. With a thriving blog, social media presence and multiple published books, Jess has an extensive network of caregivers and supporters who follow her personal journey and look to her for an honest, unapologetic portrayal of life as a parent caregiver. Jess is also founder and CEO of The Lucas Project, a nonprofit that funds respite days for caregivers, and host of the Coffee with Caregivers podcast, where she gives other caregivers a place to share their story.

Uncertain: The Search for Supported Living is the latest collaboration of directors Tom and Amanda Dyer. Their award-winning feature documentary, Unseen: How We’re Failing Parent Caregivers & Why It Matters, has screened for audiences around the world and broadcast nationally on public television.
